Denise & Richard, Los Angeles, CA

To begin, Richard and I could never have experienced all of Italy the way we did without Luxury Italian Tours. We truly wanted the trip of a lifetime, and we got it! 18 days of magic! Whether we were at a luxury hotel in Amalfi, a 2 room B&B with a wonderful chef in Florence, or at a rustic farmhouse on a vineyard in Tuscany, we were welcomed like family because of you and your team! Red carpet treatment at every turn. You knew exactly where we should splurge and where a quaint B&B would enhance our stay.

The neighborhood you chose for us in Rome near the Campo di Fiori was an ideal area for us to explore and eat and become part of the place. Of course we did the highlights, a small group tour of the Vatican, as well as the Coliseum and Forum. But we also got some yummy fruits and cheese at the weekly farmers market. We even became friends with one of the pizza makers, Ali, at the Roscioli bakery, (one of your recommendations of course :)

Our tour of Pompeii was fascinating. Our guide was not only informative but also warm and funny!

Amalfi was stunning. And our day on the private boat with Leo was amazing! Swimming in the grottos, followed by Sunday lunch at a local seafood restaurant on the water. Perfect!

On to Tuscany. How wonderful to experience one of the most beautiful wine countries in the world firsthand. Sipping a glass of local Sangiovese on our private balcony at sunset overlooking cypress trees and a private garden, really?! Yes, that did happen!!

You listened to everything we said, & tailored our trip exactly for us! Our memories of Italy will stay with us forever!!

We are already thinking of planning our next trip back, this time with our parents! Looking forward to working with you again!

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

"Ciao! I just got back from Rome last night and just wanted to let you know that Rome was everything that I expected and more! The plans that you made for Stephen and I were perfect! We did everything that you suggested and he and I both agree that it was the best vacation of our lives! We walked, explored, ate, and had the time of our lives. Our guide, Rachel, was an absolute doll! She was friendly, knowledgeable, and fun. It was the perfect way to start our first night there. The main attractions were fabulous but, the highlight was definitely that food tour! We loved all of the different Italian foods we tasted and the eateries we visited. Our favorite part was the wine cellar we visited on the tour! We definitely got an authentic taste of Rome and we can't wait to go back! Thanks again for all of your hard work I know you put into making our trip magical!"

"My wife and I had an excellent time. The hotels and spots you picked out were very good and we enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. Your behind-the-scenes coordination was also noticed and allowed us to have a fuss-free holiday in Italy. Thanks a lot for your help, and I do sincerely hope we'll be in touch again soon to plan our next trip there; we have yet to see Rome and Venice!"
Madeline - San Antonio, TX

"My name is Madeline. I traveled with my family to Sicily for my Popo's 80th birthday with Luxury Italian Tours. Our guide became one of the family! Everything we did was so much fun. I loved tasting Italian cakes with almond and pistachio cream in Castelbueno. I became a people watcher like my Mimi in that cute little town. Popo wanted to buy an apartment there. Cefalu will always be my favorite place in the world. I loved playing on the beach and walking the old town where my grandfather's ancestors were from. All of us climbed to the top of the Rock in Cefalu too. The gelato all over Sicily was delicious. The villa we stayed in near Taormina made us so spoiled. The pool was super fun. We had Italian singers sing to my Popo on Father's Day. He cried because he was so happy. I loved that I learned to cook from some Italian grandmothers and everything we cooked we served to the dad's on Father's Day. My mom and I are going to practice at home making all the recipes we learned. My favorite day was riding in a boat with my family around Taormina singing Italian and American songs and playing tambourines while waving the Sicilian and Italian flags. We were the loudest people in the harbor. Luxury Italian Tours set up the best trip for all of us. I want to do it all over again with them."

"What a great trip! Where to begin?? In a very long nutshell... It was a fulfilling, inspiring, intoxicating and relaxing; a perfect vacation and celebration of our 10th anniversary together.

Our hotel in Rome, was dreamy with its swanky roof deck where we sipped wine every night after walking/touring the city all day. Our hotel in Amalfi was PERFECT. I felt like a queen in a castle on the hill. What a perfect setting. The 14th century cloister in the center of the hotel was amazing. The views breathtaking; the long corridors and vaulted ceilings, white on white decor, breakfast on the terrace every morning and lounging by the eternity pool on the cliff edge was how we spent our time. We literally spent 2 days doing nothing but reading, napping, swimming, drinking and eating.

We loved Pompeii and our guide. It was a perfect fit. The fact that you connected us with someone that is not only an expert on the history of Pompei and an amazing/entertaining story teller, but also a well-connected, knowledgeable leather agent (and direct contact for designers like Michael Kors, Proenza Schuler, Rebecca Minkoff and Alexander Wang was priceless.

The Pompei tour was a 2 1/2 hour whirlwind. He whisked us through giant herds of tourists and cut us to the front of long lines along the way. We felt very important and special and had a fabulous time in the process. Next stop winery lunch. A-m-a-z-i-n-g. It was a truly a divine culinary experience. The pairing of the rose wine with the cheese was heaven. The spaghetti was simple and delish. The tomato bruschetta was to die for. We stuffed our bellies and drank six wines (including prosecco and apricot grappa). Later, we ordered our 24 bottles of assorted wines (white, rose, prosecco, red, red reserve, grappa..and olive oil) to be shipped home and off we went to the tannery tours. Oh the tanneries, I was like a kid in a candy store. Hand selecting italian leather for my next bag collection was a dream come true. What an invaluable connection that you have made for me. Thank you a million times over!!!!!

After the tours, our guide escorted us personally to the train station in Naples with a quick detour to buy buffalo mozzarella for his family dinner. We had some too! Then back to Rome. Our driver, Gianni picked us up right on time and took us to the airport. What a handsome cool cat. 20 hours later. Home sweet home. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. For EVERYTHING and all the extra special little perks. It was truly a perfect trip."

"I went to Luxury Italian Tours asking for an adventure. They took the time to get to know me and planned a tailored trip of a lifetime. More than I ever expected! Without their expertise, I would still be sifting through endless blogs trying to decide this over that. They planned a 15 day trip for me and suggested that I visit two islands off the coast of Sicily - Panarea and Stromboli - which were not on my list of places to go to. I experienced the beautiful sunset over the Aeolian islands seen from just off the coast and was sent to a small shop on one of the islands where I had custom-made sandals in a few minutes, which I love and think of my trip when I wear them. Because of their insider knowledge, I experienced a side of Italy that not many get to. I had no doubt I was experiencing the best of it all. From tips on where to find the best pastries and coffee to little known treasures, I was never alone on my expedition. Mille Grazie!"

"I asked Luxury Italian Tours for a first time, once-in-a-lifetime trip to Italy where I could experience things that are off the beaten path. They got to know my likes and dislikes and I went on a trip that was unique just to me and what I wanted to do. Without the knowledge and experience of the planners, I would have been stuck in the major cities going to the same old tourist traps that everyone else does because they read it in a book. My trips were not out of a book, but experienced in real life.

I went on a two and a half week trip starting in Rome and winding through the Aeolian Islands, Sicily, Tuscany and Umbria. I was able to hike a volcano, fly in a helicopter, stay in a guest house on a vineyard, and see tennis up close at the Italian Open. I was really interested in trying all the different regional foods and Luxury Italian Tours made some of the best restaurant recommendation. So, I not only tried the specialties of each area, but I also experienced the Italian way of eating. I feel like I was able to experience parts of Italy that others have not been able to see. I will definitely take another trip through Luxury Italian Tours, this time to the hidden gems of the north!"

"The last time I toured Italy was with a large, established tour group that offered a rigid schedule on a bus filled to capacity with other tourists and a tour guide waving an umbrella at the Vatican in an attempt to gather his subjects for an historical account of Rome. It was difficult for us to hear or understand. I turned to Luxury Italian Tours to plan my Christmas holiday, which included tickets to Christmas Eve mass with the Pope at the Vatican, a night tour of Rome in a 1964 Fiat 500, a private tour of Pompeii and a dinner in Florence at a restaurant owned by the last prince of the Hapsburg dynasty. Not only did the prince greet us, but he also sat at our table. At the end of a magical evening, he escorted me to a cab. How often does a cosmopolitan girl get a prince at her disposal? In Florence, I stayed at a boutique hotel run by a gourmet chef and her partner who catered to our every request. The morning pastries and dinner prepared by the chef left my palette screaming. There were so many little things included on this trip that made the trip an experience beyond my expectations. I would not have had such an experience on my own or with another tour company. I look forward to my next trip with them."

"I went on a private tour organized by Luxury Italian Tours after retiring from my stressful Wall Street profession of 30 years and some challenging family matters. I needed a very much deserved vacation, so I decided to go to Italy. But as I was getting closer and closer to the days that I had wanted to go, I was just overwhelmed at the thought of planning the trip and all the little details that go along with making a trip special, interesting and memorable. I contacted Luxury Italian Tours which put together the most interesting, cultural, and fun trip that I have ever had.

I don't think I could have ever done so many things in the period of time that I was there. The places that I stayed were charming, interesting and very well priced. Luxury Italian Tours sent me to amazing restaurants that you would never find in any of the "tourist travel magazines." My trip was beautiful and memorable. Luxury Italian Tours is knowledgeable about all regions of Italy with an enormous amount of local contacts who can organize any type of trip one would want. Overall, I found the staff to be kind, helpful and have a passion and love for the country that makes you come back again and again to see all the other beautiful parts of this amazing country."

"We had such a wonderful holiday in Italy last year, we just can't stop talking about it. So much so that we are now thinking of Sicily! Luxury Italian Tours planned our trip in Florence, Rome and recommended Puglia, which we never visited before. In Florence, we did a cooking lesson at a former Medici hunting lodge which was fab. It was a great mix of couples and a good balance of hands on and drinking wine!! Our hotel in Rome was fabulous and in a great location. In Puglia, we had a private tour on a Vespa. My husband drove with me on the back of it and we followed our guide along the coast, to Egnazia, an ancient town, and then did a wine and olive tasting at a wonderful masseria. It was one of our best highlights! We were also sent to Lecce. What a gem! We loved Lecce. We would definitely recommend them and already have to our friends!"

"We have just returned from our trip. Marco in Assisi was the best guide I have ever had! WONDERFUL! The driver was on time and very nice as well. Thanks for your help with this adventure and I will be spreading your name along to friends for future travels. Ciao bella!"
